About

Oscar Health’s mission is to make a healthier life accessible and affordable for all. We solve significant gaps in healthcare access by addressing the social and cultural factors affecting individual health. We combine technology with empathy and integrate a culturally competent care approach that respects many values and beliefs. Cultural competency is embedded in our products and the way we operate – making healthcare affordable, accessible, and engaging for more Americans. In 2021, Oscar Health launched its Culturally Competent Care (CCC) Grant Program, which supports organizations that are increasing access to care in underserved communities. To date, the program has awarded over $400,000 to nine organizations, which together have impacted the lives of over 9,000 individuals.

2025 Grant Focus Areas

Oscar Health, with support from the Anahata Foundation, will make two one-time donations of $30,000 each to support organizations addressing healthcare disparities within communities we serve. Our 2025 focus areas include:

Peaceful Woman

Spanish-speakers

The healthcare system often fails to accommodate non-English speakers. A Pew Research study1 shows 44% of Hispanic adults are less likely to seek care in part due to language barriers – a leading reason they have worse health outcomes than White adults.

Woman-looking

Women over 45

Research2 has shown that midlife is a vulnerable time for women, who are at risk for the onset of various new conditions and symptoms. While there are a range of women’s health solutions available today, relatively few are focused on menopause or other age-related conditions.
