- Where is this program available?
This program is available to actively-enrolled Individual & Family plan Oscar members with type 1 or type 2 diabetes in: AZ, FL, GA, IA, IL, KS, MI, MO, NC, NE, NY, OH, OK, PA, TX, or VA.
- Who is eligible for this program?
Oscar’s diabetes management program WellDia is available to actively-enrolled IFP Oscar members with type 1 or type 2 diabetes who live in: AZ, FL, GA, IA, IL, KS, MI, MO, NC, NE, NY, OH, OK, PA, TX, or VA. Members must have or create an Oscar account, agree to the terms of the program, and actively enroll to participate. For members under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must call Oscar at (855) 672-2755 to enroll them in the program. Members can become ineligible for the program if they no longer have a diabetes diagnosis, or change to an ineligible plan. A prescription is required by a licensed provider to receive diabetes test supplies included as a benefit of this program.

- What is WellDia?
WellDia is a diabetes management program designed to help our members living with diabetes. It makes it easier to stay on top of blood glucose testing and overall diabetes care. WellDia includes a $0 Accu-Chek® brand glucometer and $0 Accu-Chek monthly diabetes testing supplies (lancets and test strips) — plus helpful care reminders from Oscar.
- Who owns WellDia?
WellDia is a diabetes management program developed and administered by Oscar.
- Is WellDia an Oscar medical plan?
No. WellDia is not an Oscar medical plan. WellDia is a program providing diabetes support on top of what’s included in your Oscar medical plan.
- Do I have to enroll in WellDia to participate in it?
Yes. Members must actively enroll in WellDia to participate. They must also agree to the terms of the program, and have or create an Oscar account.
- How do I enroll in WellDia?
- If you are eligible, you’ll receive communications from Oscar with information on how to enroll. If you have any questions or need help enrolling in WellDia, just call Oscar at (855) 672-2755.
- Does it cost anything to enroll in WellDia?
No. The WellDia program is available to eligible members at no additional cost. That’s right, $0!
- What happens once I enroll in WellDia?
- Once you enroll in WellDia, Oscar will send you additional information, including next steps, via email and your Oscar account. To be sure you receive these important communications, create an Oscar account at hioscar.com/member, then go to Account > Settings > Scroll down to Communications and select email and/or SMS.
- What brand testing supplies are covered by WellDia?
- Accu-Chek® is Oscar's preferred brand for diabetes testing supplies (meter, test strips, and lancets). Any supplies from a different brand will incur costs according to your plan's standard cost-sharing terms. See your state’s Plan Formulary for details.
- Are the test strips and lancets unlimited?
- Test strips and lancets are not unlimited. Refer to your state’s Plan Formulary for exact quantity.
- How long does it take to get my Accu-Chek® supplies?
Once you enroll in WellDia and have a valid prescription, it should only take about 7 business days for your pharmacy to get your prescription ready for pick-up.
- Do I have to use an in-network pharmacy?
- Yes. To get your $0 diabetes testing supplies, use an in-network pharmacy. If you’re not sure if your pharmacy is in-network, contact your pharmacy directly. Or, search here.
- How do I know if my pharmacy is in-network?

- What do I do if my pharmacy is out-of-network?
Ask your current pharmacy if they can send the prescription to your in-network pharmacy of choice. Or, ask your doctor to send a new prescription to your preferred in-network pharmacy.
- Do I need a new prescription to participate in WellDia?
You do not need a new prescription as long your current prescription is valid. Contact your pharmacy to confirm if your prescription is still valid or needs refills. That’s the easiest and fastest way to verify. If you do not have an active valid prescription on file with the pharmacy, ask your doctor for a prescription that specifically says “Formulary Meters & Test Strips” or “Accu-Chek® meter & test strips.”
- How do I get a prescription refill?
Just ask your doctor or pharmacy staff.
- How do I receive my diabetes testing supplies each month?
Request refills as you normally would with your pharmacy, whether you do it in-person, online, through their app, or over the phone. You can also ask your pharmacy if they offer automatic refills.
- Do I pick up my diabetes testing supplies at the pharmacy?
Yes, once you are notified your supplies are ready, you’ll want to pick them up at your local pharmacy.
- What if I have questions about my Accu-Chek® glucometer?
- Talk to your pharmacist or contact Accu-Chek® directly. Additional information is also available at accu-chek.com.
- Can I get a continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) system instead of a glucometer?
Sure! You’ll just need to get a prior authorization from your doctor. But those monitors are not part of the WellDia program's $0 cost share. They’ll be subject to your health plan's coverage and cost-sharing terms for diabetes supplies.
- Will I receive an ID card for WellDia?
No, you don’t need an ID card for this program.
