We are excited to offer our first Medicare Advantage (opens in new tab) plan to Bronx residents this fall, in partnership with Montefiore Health System. Ahead of Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period, we teamed up with BronxWorks to host a Senior Prom. Founded in 1972, BronxWorks helps individuals and families improve their economic and social well-being, serving 50,000+ Bronx residents across over 35 centers. We were thrilled to come together to bring Bronx seniors a day of food, fashion and festivities.
For Oscar, providing the best health insurance is about more than $0 premiums and $0 deductibles - it is about putting ourselves in our members shoes so we can be the best health partner to our members. The Senior Prom was an opportunity to meet prospective members, and put ourselves in their (dancing!) shoes.
With generous donations from Rent the Runway and Priv, the on-demand salon service, we started the day with guests getting the VIP treatment before getting together with their friends and chosen family at Grand Concourse Senior Center.
Guests were treated to a delicious buffet followed by a presentation from Oscar and other BronxWorks partners. The real highlight of the afternoon was when the music started and the seniors showed us why it’s called the Boogie-down Bronx.
