On January 9, 2024, Governor DeSantis issued Executive Order 24-03, which declares a state of emergency due to an enhanced risk for severe thunderstorms across North and Central Florida.  The state of emergency applies to a number of counties in Oscar’s service area including Alachua, Bay, Brevard, Citrus, Clay, Duval, Escambia, Flagler, Hernando, Hillsborough, Lake, Leon, Marion, Okaloosa, Orange, Osceola, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk, Santa Rosa, Seminole, Sumter, and Volusia. 
The state of emergency will expire on March 9, 2024, unless it is extended.

FAQs for Individual and Family Plan Members

How can I easily refill my medications? Florida is currently under a state of emergency in several counties which means that members that reside in those counties are eligible to refill prescriptions sooner than what is typically allowed. This is designed to help ensure that members do not run out of their necessary prescriptions. As an Oscar member, you are eligible to receive up to a 30-day supply. In order to receive an early refill, you will need to ensure that you have a refill prescription available at your pharmacy. If you do not have one already available, please call your provider so that they can send in that refill request. If you have traveled to another area to seek shelter, you can fill your prescriptions at any CVS or Caremark network pharmacy, even if it’s outside of your coverage area. If I’m experiencing a medical emergency, what should I do?If you are or a loved one is experiencing a life threatening emergency, you should call 911. Standard benefits will apply for emergencies in your coverage area. How should I manage rescheduling appointments?If you are not able to receive planned routine care with your provider, you should contact your provider directly to better understand your options. What should I do if I have complex care needs?If you require more complex care support, our care management team can assist. Please contact your care team at 1-855-672-2788 –– they can help route your call. If I’m feeling overwhelmed or anxious, where should I go for support?During a state of emergency, it’s natural for you to experience feelings of stress, overwhelm, anxiety, or trauma. As an Oscar member, you have access to mental health benefits provided through Optum. To search for doctors or facilities on your Oscar app, navigate to the "Search all in-network" options and click on "Treatment Options." You can search the specialty or reason for visit and choose the provider that best suits your needs. If you don't have the Oscar app, don't worry! You can also go to hioscar.com/care-options and enter some quick information to start searching for mental health providers.
