Sameer Amin, M.D., is the Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Oscar, where he is responsible for implementing Oscar’s clinical capabilities and enhancing the quality of care and outcomes for its members. As an experienced physician and clinical leader, he is passionate about Oscar’s unique approach to combining full stack technology with a consumer focus and its mission of making a healthier life accessible and affordable for all.Previously, Sameer served as the Regional Chief Medical Officer of the Western U.S. for CareMore Health. He has also held multiple national roles for the Anthem subsidiary, including National Director of Specialty Medicine, and was a clinical leader at HealthCare Partners where he oversaw specialty care for over 90,000 patients.Sameer received his M.D. from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, and completed his residencies and fellowships in internal medicine, cardiology, and interventional cardiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (a Harvard Medical School Teaching Hospital), Cedars Sinai Medical Center, and University of California, Los Angeles respectively.
